The USWP Mounted Patrol was formed in 2009 as a support unit to aid the USWP in it's mission for homeland securty and public safety.  It was also created to be the major support element to assist with the American Red Cross Disaster Services and other agencies' and Organization's. Like the USWP the USWPMP conducts missions anywhere needed in the United States and it's territories.

The USWPMP is ideal to function in various missions such as SAR, Security Patrols, Disaster Response and Assessments, Mounted Patrol Members can go where it is very difficult and often not possible for vehicles and offroad equipment to go.
